I grew up in the Philippines as the daughter of a farmer and a housewife, and as the eldest of seven siblings, I learned responsibility at a very young age. I worked as a kindergarten teacher, but my salary wasn’t enough to help send my siblings to college. Wanting to support my family, I made the difficult decision to work as a domestic helper in Hong Kong. After seven years, my employer migrated to Canada and brought me with them.

When I arrived in Canada, I worked two jobs so I could continue saving and supporting my family. As the years went by, the physical demands of those jobs became harder, and I started looking for work that would allow me to earn a living from home. A cousin’s wife encouraged me to explore a career in the insurance industry, which eventually led me to join Greatway Financial Inc.

The pandemic gave me the opportunity to study, complete my licensing, and fully transition into this new field. I’ve now been with the company for four years, and the customer service skills I gained from all my previous work experiences have helped me connect with and assist my clients more effectively. I do this part time, and since joining the business, my life has changed for the better. I am grateful to be able to share free information that helps individuals and families secure financial protection in case of loss—making my work both practical and deeply meaningful.
